Carbon Artist Work Featured In State Museum

A Carbon County artist is one of 86 Pennsylvania artists featured in the prestigious Art Of the State 2023 exhibition. Yvonne Wright, a multimedia artist from Jim Thorpe, is featured for her painting "Innocence Lost". Wright owns and operates a small art gallery, Studio YNW, at 100 West Broadway in Jim Thorpe showcasing primarily her own work. Every year for the past five decades, the State Museum of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg, together with the Pennsylvania Heritage Foundation, presents the Art of the State exhibition as an annual juried event open to artists and craftspeople across the commonwealth.

Every year for the past five decades, the State Museum of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg, together with the Pennsylvania Heritage Foundation, presents the Art of the State exhibition open to artists and craftspeople across the commonwealth as an annual juried event. Yvonne Wright Awarded First Place

In 2021, Yvonne Wright (a.k.a. Nowicka-Wright) won FIRST PLACE in ACRYLIC category at the 88th Annual International Exhibition of Fine Art in Miniature, organized by the prestigious Miniature Painters, Sculptors & Gravers Society of Washington D.C. (the oldest miniature art society in the United Sates, founded in 1931). The exhibition opened November 21st, 2021 and ended January 8th, 2022. A total of 714 artworks from 9 countries were in exhibit. Yvonne's miniature painting "Destiny" executed in acrylic on board, size 4" x4" sold afterwords.
