I've returned to my roots in Kansas after spending 45 years in Los Angeles.   My passion for photography has always been an essential part of me, and I never leave home without my camera.   I strive to capture the extraordinary in the ordinary, using clever juxtapositions, contradictions, bursts of color, and touches of whimsy.   My photography is a true expression of how I perceive the world, staying authentic and genuine to myself.I believe it is the artist's vision that produces art, and I appreciate every method and technique utilized to achieve that vision.   Occasionally, I...more

Jenny Revitz Soper Exhibition At TAG Gallery

Santa Clarita, CA - April 14th, 2018

Jenny Revitz Soper's TWISTED VISIONS exhibition at TAG Gallery on Museum Row in Los Angeles is a nostalgic revisit for some, but for many, a brand new trip. Her photography presents a mind-blowing, wildly-colored dimension slightly off to one side. She transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary with clever juxtaposition, contradiction, color and whimsy. It is spontaneous, yet not unconsidered. Soper's visual narrative takes us back to a time when "psychedelic" was a household word and colors glowed with black light and without. Her vision is a place of fun, humor and neon colors. Frameless, nothing stops the art from spreading to the edges and beyond. TWISTED VISIONS invites the onlooker into the unknown and the disorienting. It's a scene, man. Exhibition runs from April 17- May 12, 2018. Opening Reception (all are invited) April 21, 2018 5-8 pm.

The highly active Artist group, No Place Like Home, has chosen a special photograph for its Group Logo in celebration of its first anniversary on April 19, 2017. The theme for the contest, appropriately enough, was ONE! The contest generated a stir, as three special artists tied for First Place. The group's Administrator, Jenny Revitz Soper, chose the winning logo Fixerupper by Michael Ciskowski. https://fineartamerica.com/featured/fixeruper-michael-ciskowski.html "It was a tough decision," says Ms. Soper. "I wish the voters could have chosen the winner. But since there is only one logo, I chose the one which best fits the theme of the group. All three images were spectacular." Artist Group Focuses On Addiction Recovery Art And Text

Santa Clarita, CA - December 30th, 2016

For those struggling to overcome an addiction and/or alcoholism, no one needs to tell you it is tough you are living it. Sufferers and their families need encouraging words as a reminder that they are not alone and that, yes, change really is possible. On Fine Art America, a small but dynamic artist group, Addiction Recovery Art and Text, has been focusing on ART and WORDS as a means to encourage and praise those in recovery from addiction and alcoholism. Substance addiction is a growing issue in the United States and the world that impacts millions of people and their families. Twenty-three million Americans age 12 or older suffer from alcohol and drug addiction. More than 15 million of those are dependent on alcohol, roughly 4 million are dependent on drugs, the rest are dependent on both. http://www.reneweveryday.com/resources/addiction-recovery-facts/.
